and Welcome to the Anime@Carleton Club, devoted to the exposure of Japanese animation "Anime" at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The club is meant to be a medium through which students and the Anime community in Ottawa can share their love of Anime. We hold weekly Anime showings, which encourage you to meet fellow Anime fans and Japanophiles. Anyone can come out to our events from the simply curious, to the serious Anime fans. You can get involved in the club, or just show up to enjoy the shows and the social atmosphere.

Anime News Network is also holding The Great Canadian Fullmetal Alchemist Ticket Give-Away, which runs until January 6th @ 11:59pm. As usual, if you win a ticket through the ANN give-away you will not be eligible for one from the club unless there are spares. The other rule in regards to the promotional goodies is that they will be given out to club members first; non-members may request promotional goodies if there are any left after the members receive what they want.

This concludes the showings for the 2011 calendar year, the next showing is in 2012 on Saturday, January 7th in St. Patrick’s (SP) 435. Check back for updated schedules in the coming weeks. In January there will be the theatrical release of Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos, which we will have some stuff to give away for. In addition to the normal events there will be some special movies that will be shown later in the term, so keep an eye out for those.
